Sculpture works, memorials, memorial tablets
Sculptures old and new, statuaries and relieves made by artists of varied qualities, works of art made from stone, metal, wood, ceramics, concrete or other suitable material; works intended to be memorials or simply adornments making their imprint on their own or in union with architecture - we can meet all this while having a stroll through Piešťany. The goal of this short guide is not to offer complex view over all pieces of plastic art in the town nor to comment on their artistic values. The following selection only desires to direct one's attention to the presence of sculptures in various town parts - in parks, streets, plazas, other various public or semi-public areas; and, some of them to point at and describe. And, to remind the significance of outdoor sculpture exhibitions that later became known as The Statues of Piešťany Parks; just this resource enriched the town as well as the Spa with number of valuable sculptures in the second half of the last century.

On one jack lagging, Jesus Christ's head is pictured; the other one is skilfully decorated with plant leaves ornaments.
