Circuit around the lake Sĺňava

Circuit around the lake Sĺňava - recreation and nature trail with an asphalt surface going around Sĺňava Dam. The circuit is suitable for cycling, walking, and in-line skating. The asphalt flat strip 3 - 4 m wide stretches from Krajinský Bridge towards Lodenica, on to Drahovce Dam, along the water skiing area and back on the left side of the River Váh towards the bridge. Walking takes approx. 3 hours and cycling 50 minutes.

The crest of the dam wall is open to public from April till the end of October:

The Dubová Bike Path

The Dubová Bike Path - This bicycle path along the Dubová stream, stretching approximately 2.3 km, leads from the residential area in the section of the town known as Floreát towards the Sĺňava reservoir. It connects this administrative and residential zone with the recreational and sport zone in.

Váh River cycling track

The length is app. 56 km (to Trenčín); it starts at Colonnade Bridge in Piešťany, follows the Váh River Canal up to Horná Streda, goes under the highway bridge, touches the villages Brunovce, Potvorice, Považany, recreational centre Zelená voda and village Beckov up to Trenčín.

Ducové, Kostolec

The length of the round trip is app 12 km long; the track marked in blue starts at Colonnade Bridge on the Spa Island and continues through the village Moravany nad Váhom. In the village Ducové, a turn-off marked in yellow (from the blue marked track) leads to archaeological site Kostolec. Use the same track for your return journey.

Striebornica

The round trip is app 14 km long; the track marked in blue starts at Colonnade Bridge on the Spa Island and continues through the village Moravany nad Váhom. In the village, we turn right, go up the slope from the main road and continue app 2 km up to the lake Striebornica. The track marked blue continues up to Stará or Nová Lehota.

Bezovec

The round trip is app 40 km long; the blue marked track starts in Piešťany at Colonnade Bridge on The Spa Island, continues through the village Moravany nad Váhom, Ducové up to the village Modrovka. There is a turn off onto the red marked track which leads through the village Modrová, direction village Nová Lehota. Before the village Nová Lehota, the asphalt road turns left up to the tourist cottages at Bezovec. Follow the same track for the return trip.

Havran (Čertova pec - The Devil's Furnace)

The round trip is app 25 km; you can reach the Havran Pass from two directions. One comes from Piešťany following the state road to Topoľčany, the other is a tourist path marked blue which goes from the guest house Benátky (behind the Krajinský Bridge), through the Červená veža Hill and the Bacchus Villa. After the Havran Pass, the path continues further towards Topoľčany via the state road. We can return to Piešťany using the same path but it is possible to continue to village Radošina, turn there right to village Svrbice and follow a steep decline to village Sokolovce. We return to Piešťany through village Ratnovce.

Beckov

Round trip app 60 km
1. track - red: the track begins at Colonnade Bridge, follows the Váh River, passes the House of Arts, goes under the highway bridge, by-passes the villages Brunovce, Potvorice and Považany. We follow the bridge over the Váh River Canal; the road leads us up to the recreational centre Zelená voda. There we follow the crest of the dam wall continuing up to the village Beckov.We return following the same track.

2. track - blue: app 65 km; the track marked blue colour starts at Colonnade Bridge on the Spa Island and continues through the villages Moravany nad Váhom, Ducové, Modrovka up to Hrádok. It continues through villages Hôrka, Nová Ves nad Váhom and Kočovce up to Beckov. We return following the same track.

Čachtice

The round trip is around 40 km. From Piešťany, we start with the state road No 499, following the overbridge above the railway, going all the way to village Trebatice. From here, we follow the state road No 504 which would lead us to village Krakovany. There we join the red marked track which goes around the villages Ostrov, Očkov, through Podolie and Častkovce, up to Čachtice where is recommended to turn left onto the red marked track leading to the village Višňové. The access to the Čachtice Castle is better from there. To return, we follow the same track in opposite direction.

Through Vrbové to Čerenec

The return trip is app 24 km. We leave Piešťany on the state road No 499, following the railway overbridge, continuing to the village Trebatice. Here, we turn right and through the town Vrbové we continue on the main road up to the water reservoir Čerenec. The return trip follows the same track in opposite direction.

Through Koplotovce to Hlohovec

The round trip distance is app 40 km. Leaving Piešťany via Colonnade Bridge, turning right, following the blue marked track alongside the Váh River, around the water reservoir Sĺňava and before the dam wall, use a field road up to the village Sokolovce. Here, the cycling track joins the main road No 507 and leads through the village Jalšové to village Koplotovce, where it joins again the blue marked cycling track up to the town Hlohovec.
